Hello everyone. I own a hot goiling machine for a long time, but I didn't used it almost at all. I had only few foil colors and plates so it never tempted me to add those shiny elements to my projects. Recently I got few fun plates from Scrapbook.com and I pulled out my machine. I also purchased some foils and made myself a foiling station using one of the Scrapbook.com exclusive storage solutions. I reused a pocket card organizer and now my foils look like this:
All my plates are stored in the back and all the foils are tucked into the sections of the box. One section is empty for storing foil pieces that can be reused for some smaller elements later.
I must admit it's a very convinient way of storing foils and makes me want to use them more often.
I started with making two DL sized cards with foiled flowers. I used"Glimmered botanical" plates from Spellbinders and foiled on top of the colored smooth cardstock. Each card has a different color scheme and different pattern in the background, made with vellum and some DL size dies. Background was colored with Distress Oxide Sprays so it was a really fast and easy process. You can find all the supplies at the end of this post.
